Can you spot the fabric store in this photo?
This is a photo of the crossing at the East Exit at Shinjuku Station. You’ll see Okadaya in the top right corner of this photo. It is a realllly tall building on the corner (map) that has everything you could need! There is a sister store across the street that sells only textiles. These are by far the best fabric and costume/craft supply shop in Shinjuku and really comes in handy when you can’t make it to Nippori to buy fabric, or you just need some feathers or fusing and the school shop is closed.
In Shinjuku there is also Yuzawaya (which sells more quilting fabrics and less fashion fabrics, buttons and notions) and Tokyu Hands (which sells everything you could possibly want to create almost anything you want). I’ll post about them later ;)
Go wander through all the shops, get inspired by the materials they have to offer and get a sense of how they differ in selection and prices.
