Making Chanel Couture – a video

At 00:52, you can see the seamstress using a black tape to mark seams and style lines on top of her draped form. This is called Bolduc Band and is common in couture and French dressmaking. Here at Bunka we tend to use a sticky version of this tape called Body Line Tape.
At 2:52, you see the highly-skilled embroiders at Lesage, a famous school and atelier in Paris, doing a technique called Tambour Beading.
